- College Board
- You made it — AP exams have arrived. They began May 3rd, ending June 11th. College Board created a webpage to answer questions about testing procedures, dates, times, and more, for each respective format (online, hybrid, or in-person). Good luck to everyone taking an exam!
Programs/Opportunities, Scholarships, & Research
Humanities (Journalism, Law/Politics, etc.)
- **JDP Scholarship: $1,000**
- Jayda Dionne Parker is looking to provide one student with financial assistance for their post-secondary expenses. The scholarship is open to anyone who has been accepted to or is enrolled in an accredited college or university in America, and it will require its applicants to submit a 500-word essay describing how they can succeed through the employment of Jayda Dionne Parker’s highlighted characteristics: hard work, compassion, and determination. As well, applicants will also be required to submit a completed application form, one letter of recommendation, and a copy of their academic transcript. There are no GPA requirements.

- Congress Campaign Fellowship
- Students can get involved in their community by joining the Kumar for Congress 2022 all-year Internship program. Any recent college graduate, current college student, or high school student can apply for this fellowship. This internship is open to any resident of the United States, not just for Silicon Valley residents. Our 2020 internship program had students from 29 states actively leading, participating and learning.

- **JASNA Scholarship: $1,000 (first place), $500 (second place), $250 (third place)**
- JASNA is hosting a world-wide essay competition in which three students from three divisions — high school, college, and university — can earn scholarship awards. The competition itself requires applicants to discuss how the author Jane Austen uses art to promote character development, advance plots, or otherwise make a point in her novels. The essay must be 6-8 pages in length, and a separate, official online entry form must be completed alongside the main composition.

- **Crown and Caliber Scholarship: $2,500**
- High school and post-secondary students in America are eligible to apply for a scholarship prize from Crown & Caliber. All applicants must submit an essay detailing how they embody at least one of the organization's core values (responsibility, efficiency, compassion, and collaboration), as well as how these values have impacted their communities. They will also need to provide the organization with a letter of recommendation, two to three references, and their documented volunteer hours.

- **Azazie Scholarship: $1,000**
- Azazie is accepting applications from high school seniors and post-secondary students who wish to apply for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship. These students must be enrolled in or accepted to a post-secondary institution in either Canada or America, and they will be required to write a 500-800 word essay on whether or not they consider themselves to be a leader. Household members of Azazie employees are not eligible to apply.

- **Nelson Scholarship: $10,000**
- Nelson, Canada's leading education and technology company, is offering scholarships to two high school seniors in Canada (with the exception of Quebec) who have demonstrated academic success, personal strength, and determination in working towards civic engagement. Applicants must be accepted to a Candian post-secondary institution, and they must maintain an 80% cumulative average. They will also be required to submit an essay on civic leadership activities, as well as an online application form, two letters of recommendation, and a copy of their academic transcript.

- **IvyPanda Scholarship: $1,500**
- IvyPanda is hosting a competition in which two high school, college, or university winners from any country will be awarded $1,500 in scholarships. The competition itself requires applicants to answer the question, “Where did you find out about the IvyPanda Contest?” and submit a 500- to 700-word essay (written in English) on one of three topics pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic.
